Description

Studies have shown that ergonomics factors and work organization factors are important contributors to the development of musculoskeletal disorder.

The prevalence of musculoskeletal symptoms among school students using computers has been estimated. Significantly more students were exposed to risk factors, such as daily computer use, time spent at the computer without breaks, duration of mouse use, and poor ergonomics at their workstations.

With our “MuSchooloSkeletal” digital platform we strive to set the objective to assess the students’ cognizance of computer ergonomics, preventative methods and techniques addressing relevant health risks from a very early age.

How it works

We start with a questionnaire /checklist for collecting data concerning personal characteristics of potential users and follow-up on ergonomic and organizational aspects of computer use, checking on the presence of musculoskeletal symptoms in the neck and upper limbs, etc. Then we identify and educate users with initial signs of the disorder.

We concentrate on the awareness about musculoskeletal symptoms among the children of schooling age.

Our digital platform can also suggest the need for preventive intervention consisting of education in computer ergonomics, pro-active physiotherapy and complex long-term monitoring.
